Saruq Al-Hadid Archaeological Museum: It was founded in 2002, Saruq Al Hadid sits somewhere down in the desert sands of the southern slopes of the Dubai emirate and is accepted to have been an iron-age metal ‘processing plant’ inactivity somewhere in the range of 1300 and 800 BC. The museum can be reached easily by public transport. The Al Ghubaiba metro station is five minutes walk away, and the Al Ghubaiba bus station is ten minutes’ walk away. Abras can be taken from the souq area in Deira to the nearby Bur Dubai Abra Station.

  • Museum opening hours in Ramadan are:
  • 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM Saturday and Thursday
  • 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM Sunday to Wednesday
  • Working hours will occasionally change to suit local holidays.

Ticketing and pricing:

  • Individual: 20 Dhs
  • Children 7­ – 12 years: 10 Dhs
  • Adults over 60: free
  • Children up to 6 years: free

Please note that films in the museum run alternately in English and Arabic, so you may experience a short wait until the language of your choice is about to start. Information for schools

The museum can accommodate groups of up to 30 students at a time, passing through in staggered groups of 10-15 students. Teachers are requested to contact museum staff at least 24 hours in advance of a visit. Larger group sizes can be accommodated by arrangement. The museum does not provide pens or pencils, but there is a range of educational resources available to educators.
